About Twelve21Designs
Our Beginning
Twelve21Designs was built on decades of experience in painting, construction, and home improvement—and a belief that homeowners deserve a more personal approach to improving their homes.
Owner Jason Bourque has called Southwest Florida home since 1989, when he moved from Massachusetts and later graduated from the University of South Florida. His experience in the industry began with a painting and home construction business he operated with his father. After closing that business following the 2008 housing crash, Jason eventually returned to Florida and, in 2016, returned to the work he knew so well.
Today, Twelve21Designs serves homeowners throughout Bonita Springs and Southwest Florida with professional cabinet painting, house painting, carpentry, and light remodeling services.

A Different Approach to Home Improvement
We don't believe improving your home always means tearing everything out and starting over.
Often, the bones of a home are already good. Cabinets can be painted or modified. Existing spaces can become more functional with built-ins or finish carpentry. New flooring, countertops, paint, or a redesigned shower can completely change the way a home looks and feels.
That's the idea behind what we call light remodeling. We work with a small, trusted group of contractors specializing in cabinet painting and installation, house painting, carpentry, built-ins, cabinet modifications, countertops, flooring, and showers. By looking at your home as a whole, we can help you determine where your budget will make the biggest difference.
The goal isn't to sell you the biggest project possible. It's to create a thoughtful plan that gives you the look and functionality you want while making smart use of what you already have.
Homeowners deserve straight answers
“Things can come up on any project, but homeowners deserve realistic timelines, clear communication, and qualified people doing the work.”
Home improvement projects require trust. You're inviting people into your home, investing your money, and often rearranging your life while the work is being completed.
We believe you deserve realistic expectations from the beginning. One of the complaints we hear most often from homeowners is that a six-week project somehow becomes a ten-week project—or contractors simply don't arrive when they said they would. Unexpected circumstances can affect any project. What matters is how they're handled.
We believe homeowners deserve honest timelines, clear communication when something changes, and qualified people performing the work they were hired to complete.
Realistic Timelines
We give you a realistic understanding of your project's schedule rather than promising a timeline simply to win the job.
Qualified Craftsmen
Your home deserves experienced people who know how to perform the work properly—not whoever happens to be available that day.
Clear Communication
Questions come up during home improvement projects. We stay accessible and keep you informed so you're not left wondering what's happening with your home.

Hands-On Owners From Start to Finish
When it comes to cabinet painting and house painting, Jason and his business partner don't simply sell the project and send someone else to complete it.
We're hands-on owners.
We work on our projects alongside our team and remain personally involved throughout the job. We're also available to our customers seven days a week, including evenings, when questions or concerns arise.
That direct involvement gives us greater control over quality, communication, and scheduling—and gives you direct access to the people responsible for your project.
For us, that's simply a better way to do business.
A Team That Actually Works Together
"We've developed a small network of contractors who work together regularly and communicate with one another almost daily."
Larger home improvement projects can quickly become complicated when you're coordinating painters, carpenters, flooring installers, countertop professionals, and other contractors who all operate on different schedules.
Our approach is different.
Our small network of coordinated contractors allows us to plan projects more efficiently, solve problems quickly, and keep the different pieces of a project moving together. On many projects, that teamwork has even allowed us to finish ahead of schedule.
More importantly, you don't have to become the project manager of your own home improvement project.
Improving Southwest Florida Homes Since 2016

Southwest Florida isn't simply a market we serve. It's home.
Jason has lived in the area since 1989, and Twelve21Designs has been helping homeowners improve their homes since 2016.
From cabinet painting and professional spray finishes to interior and exterior painting, finish carpentry, built-ins, cabinet modifications, and light remodeling, our work is centered around one idea:
Make the home you already have work beautifully for the way you want to live.
If there's a smarter way to achieve that without unnecessarily tearing everything apart, we'll help you find it.
Let's Talk About Your Home
Maybe you know exactly what you want. Maybe you simply know that something about your home isn't working anymore.
Either way, that's a good place to start. Tell us what you'd like to change, and we'll help you explore the possibilities, understand your options, and create a practical plan for moving forward.
